My visit to Tanzania was more than just a safari, it was a life changing experience thanks to my Masai Nyeusi family. The experience included so much culture, history, and of course the Big 5. I absolutely LOVED this tour! There was never a dull moment with breathtaking views or the animals. My favorites parts of the experience was passing lions on our way to our luxury tents, and giraffes greeting us when we arrived when we were in the Serengeti. On time I left the dining hall to run to my room and there were hippos walking past by my tent! To be that immersed in nature was just amazing. There was also a times when herds of elephants walked right past our safari truck close enough to touch. We saw lions feasting, cheetahs hunting, and leopards in trees with their prey. We were able to see ALL of the BIG 5, thanks to our amazing guides! We even got to see the lions mating. The accommodations were more than comfortable in the middle of the Serengeti. Even the ones at the Maasai lodge were breathtakingly authentic yet modern. I will cherish this lifetime of memories and plan to return with family!

Simply AMAZING! From the staff to the experiences they created, I had an unforgettable & life-changing time! My family stayed in the Serengeti and the Maasai Village! Amazing experience. Totally. Trust me, they handled every detail incredibly. The accommodations went from rustic to spectacular during the week. We camped on the Serengeti! The tours were very professional, I would assume that they have dozens of tours completed. The meals were locally grown and healthy but delicious, even for those like me with diet limitations. We got to see the big 5, although the rhinos were at a very safe distance. Doing Tanzania, the Maasai village, the Ngorongoro Crater, everything without feeling rushed. We saw it all, the experience of a lifetime!

This was a bucket list experience! Man, just being in the wild with the animals was amazing. I never thought I would see the that close by. We saw all the big 5! The tour guides were great and really knowledgeable about the animals. The places we stayed at were all very nice. I didn’t know what to expect but they were very nice. I enjoyed meeting the Maasai people and learning about some of their traditions. This was a great first trip to Africa and an experience of a lifetime!

My trip with Masai Nyeusi Expeditions was AMAZING!! I could write a novel about the experience, but I’ll try to keep it brief. First the guides. James & Chicho were OUTSTANDING as our tour guides. They were so knowledgeable, answered all of our random questions and were just a joy to be around. They hung out with us during meals, played board games with us (Taboo in English & Swahili is such a blast!!), learned our line dances and taught us some of theirs. While we were hanging out around the bonfires in the Serengeti, they were right there with us. It was an honor to have them leading us on the safari and sharing their knowledge and time.

The food. I love me some food and everything was so fresh!!! I’m not a huge juice person, but the fresh squeezed juices were delicious!! All the veggies and meats were cooked so well and I loved it all. We got to try goat cooked right on a grill in front of us, some fresh produce from local vendors and they even made a cake for my boyfriend’s birthday!

The animals and scenery…unexplainable. The only thing I can say is it was STUNNING!! From traveling to the Tarangire National Park, to the mountain views on the way to the Serengeti, passing huge sunflower fields and driving into the Ngorongoro Crater, it took my breath away. Tanzania is a beautiful country with wonderful people and Masai Nyeusi Expeditions did an awesome job on providing the experience for all of us. Being able to see animals in their natural habitats up close due to the efforts of our tour guides made for some amazing experiences and photos! Plus, we got to see all of the Big 5!!!!

There’s so much I haven’t even mentioned that I could. Long story short, this company is AMAZING!! The attention to detail that went into planning the whole trip made it that much better. This includes everything from the overall tour plan, lunch spots while on safari (hello awesome rock formation!!), varied accommodations and even how we spent our days while on safari.

In other words..Masai Nyeusi Expeditions is an amazing tour company and I’m already in talks with my family to plan another trip with them. Thank you Masai Nyeusi Expeditions for giving me a once in a lifetime experience and making it so special for not only me, but everyone on the trip.
